Gene Augustine, 1972
|
Our
love affair with the home improvement industry began in 1972 when Gene
Augustine, sold his first remodeling job in Norfolk, Virginia. Nineteen
years later, in 1991, with children now in the business, our family
opened our own company. We called it "Paramount" to show that we wanted
to establish a higher standard of excellence for our industry.
From the beginning we were committed to apply the Golden Rule to everything we do. God
has since blessed us with 13,000 jobs, 30,479 contracts and over 110
million dollars in revenue. He also has honored our desire to uphold
His standards. In fourteen years we have become one of the largest
window/siding companies in Virginia, one of the "Top 10" windows/siding companies in the nation.

We
employ and contract only specialists or experts at what they do. We
reward them with the best pay plan in the industry, applying stringent
standards of ethics in our hiring and to attract and retain the best.
The
other cornerstone of our excellence is our products. We use only the
absolute finest materials made today. We were invited to join an
exclusive consortium of companies, the only ones authorized to offer
the "Preservation Collection" line, designed to be the premium products in the industry.
Our
excellence is widely recognized. Nationally we have earned numerous
"Dealer of the Year" awards. Our President is a regular speaker at the
annual gatherings of top remodeling company owners and our company was
featured in Qualified Remodeler, the industry's main publication. In each of the communities we work, we have become good citizens, members of the local Chamber of Commerce and Builders Association. We are also members of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. Finally, we give back to the communities that give us their business through our company Foundation, the Paramount Builders Foundation.
